Ok, raise your hands. Upon reading that statement, the image of a dog snarling at me came to mind. Now, what would you say, if I told you that a dog didn’t snarl at me, but rather a woman did! I found it hilarious as I’m sure did everyone who was working with me.
Let me start from the beginning, this rather round woman entered Dunkin Doughnuts and ordered a medium iced coffee (approx 16 ounces). Now, this sounds like a rather reasonable request, correct? The woman then goes on to ask demand that I add cream to the drink, a whopping 12 ounces.
The second I start making the woman’s drink, an order comes through my headset asking for an iced coffee with sugar in it. I went to make this order and not thinking, I added sugar to the womans coffee. In a rush to finish the womans order, I give her the drink, she pays and prepares to leave.
Just as she goes to leave the store, she stops dead in her tracks. Turns around and rushes back to the counter. “Theres sugar in this! I can taste the crystals!” she screams at me. Rather suprised to see her again, I just kinda stood there for a second, before apologizing. As I go to reach for the iced coffee, shes showing her teeth and snarling at me. Now, I’m trying not to laugh and am genuinely trying to show concern in her problem, but I mean, come on! I was actually waiting for her to start barking. Now that would have been funny.
But, who seriously snarles when returning a drink?! I can understand that there are reasons for not wanting sugar, but resorting to snarling?
Oh well, it takes all kinds, right? It should be interesting to see other types of customers I get to meet at this job!

Oh yes, boys and girls, it is time for another tale of my experiences in the “working world.” Todays episode of course takes place in none other than Dunkin Doughnuts.
It all started, in… well I guess November. I left subway (I miss it more than anything…
) and struggled to find work the entire time I was in high school. It seemed like everywhere I went, no one wanted me. It was extremely discouraging and I began to feel worthless and bum-like. I was forced to mooch and I hated it (I don’t know how people can do it!)
Anyways, weeks turned to months and a few jobs came and went, and finally I graduated from high school. Driving around I saw a sign at Dunkin Doughnuts and went in and applied, basically as a last resort (I honestly wasn’t holding my breath). Much to my suprise, I received a call for an interview a few days later. A second interview followed promptly, and then I started yesterday. To be perfectly honest, I was shocked at the entire thing. To go from making $0.00/hr doing nothing, to making $8.00/hr making coffee is a pretty good deal.
Now, that I’ve gotten that out of the way, let me ask you this… what is a fruity frenchmen in a sauna. Pretty strange, eh? Just one of the many orders I must memorize. I can only assume my old customers from subway who would complain about having mustard touching their pickles were bliss compared to this macabre new language I must learn. Oh well, for $8, I will learn.
As an aside… why is it that everything smells like coffee now?

After a four month (well technically two) internet coma, I am sort-of back. I lack enthusiasm for any sort of actual work and I’ve just been really tired lately, not exactly sure why either…
Well, heres a recap of important events over the last few months
- April - turned 18
- June - Graduated from high school
- July - got another job… :S
- June 2006-November 2007; April 2008-Now - Work on Zeisu (died and restarted numerous times)
And then of course there were some not-so-important events
- I made a Kate Pierson poster
(sad I know…)
- Started experimenting with flash and Flex
Wow, my life is boring… No wonder all I want to do is sleep

I am still alive! As its 4:20 and my eyes kinda hurt, I’ll keep it short. A few months ago my family moved into a house that was nearly twice as large as the one we previously lived in. Being the tightwads that we are, we didn’t get a moving truck and instead made countless trips back and forth between the two houses (which luckily were only a mile-or-so away).
It was a long and tedious task, but finally we finished. Weeks slowly went by then my mom (and a few other members of my family who will remain unnamed) decided they were homesick. So lucky me, I got to move everything back to the first house. Nothing better than a rousing game of musical houses.
So following the move, a series of mishaps involving various shitty telecommunication companies, a set of demon children and pit bulls and a depressing bout of unemployment, things have finally begun to slow down… but for how long?

Today I had my first interview in quite some time, and much to my amazement, I snagged the job. It was at a fast food joint, not exactly my first choice, but its a job. Arby’s around here isn’t too big, nor does it ever get unbearibly busy, so thats a plus. And lets not forget, its a little extra money so I can stop mooching off people (e.g. Sarah).
Digressing, I arrived to the interview dressed up and before I sat down, I was offered the job. So what I believed to be the interview turned out to be a training/orientation session. To my dismay, I discovered I would be doing the fryer for quite some time, not exactly my favorite station, but I’ll survive. So sitting through the lovely Arby’s Propaganda, I was finally able to leave.
When I got home, my mom said Burger King called and said they wanted an interview as well. (Isn’t it funny how these places time their hiring calls?). So, I’m not really sure what I want to do. At Arby’s, I’m guaranteed a job and I know for a fact I can do it. But Burger King, I know the manager and theres a good chance I could do something other than fryer… I’m not sure. Depending on if I get called in for an interview, I may go and see what they have to say. I mean, what do i have to lose.
And now for a completely random note, my mommy bought a neti pot and I have to say it was the weirdest feeling having the water running through my sinuses, but after I was done, it felt so good. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with allergies, it works wonders.

Today, I have to say is much better than yesterday was. The teachers seemed a little more settled in and everthing sorta flowed a little better. Math was alright. ACE still kinda scared me. PIG was fun, and Brit Lit was insaine. Now i’m off to make my music library, read, then go to bed

Today was the first day of the new semester and to put it simply, it sucked. What I thought was going to be the best semester of my entire high school career turned out to be the shittiest. First off, the classes themselves. My schedule consists of
Math III - 12 years of math concepts crammed into 20 weeks
ACE English - College Composition I
PIG and ECON - Government brainwashing
British Literature - need I say more?
First off, math three was filled to the brim. Every seat, even the broken one in the back of the room was filled up. To top that off, the class was in the smallest math room in the school and the desks were crammed together. That many idiots that close together is hazardous to ones health… or at least ones sanity.
Next was ACE English. I actually don’t really have too much to say about that. 10 absences and I forfeit college credits—kinda puts a damper on my cruise in May… Oh and the, “You guys are the cream of the crop, but don’t expect higher than a C” is always a nice way to start a class.
PIG was erm… different to say the least
Insane teacher + morons = a memorable class
Brit Lit. The teacher… don’t even get me started. The kids… even worse. God I don’t think i can survive it. Now I have to do math homework then I’m going to bed. I’m mentally exhausted and I don’t know how much more of this I can take.

Wow, there is something seriously wrong with me. I’m sitting here working on a project and the cable box behind me starts buzzing. Afraid of it exploding or something, I unplug it. Minutes later, the buzzing goes off again.
This time, I plug in the box and try the vcr. The VCR had eaten a tape. “Thats what was making the noise” it thought to myself. Taking the tape out, I unplugged the vcr. The buzzing went one one more time. Freaking out, I unplugged everything in that corner of the room.
You can imagine how freaked out I was when I heard the buzzing again. Running over, I saw it was my fricking cell phone. God I feel like such an idiot. *smacks head*

Well the school year is now officially half over. My “fun” semester (I use that term lightly) is over. Next semester shouldn’t be too bad, but I doubt my classes will be as easy.
First Semester, I took
Astronomy - Mr. Saks was kinda weird. I would almost say elf-like. A bit sarcastic, but it made the class interesting. I’m gonna miss it.
Creative Writing - Ms. Ferrari - it was quite an experience. I wrote more than I had in quite some time, and I believe I reaped the benefits of her teaching.
Health - Oh, I’m gonna miss that class. It was kindergarten, with anatomy. A lot of coloring and the teacher was awesome. I wouldn’t mind having it all year.
Child Development - Aside from being the only guy in the class, the class was actually really good. It started out shaky, but it got better. The room was always at war and there was never really a dull day. The class in itself was not too difficult, but the information could be borng at times. I met a vast array of new people from different ‘cliques’ and I have to say, that in itself is quite a suprise. A lot of my stereotypes proved to be wrong and I reaped an appreciation for peoples differences due simply to that class.
I’m really going to miss these classes and the people who were in them. I have to admit, this is the first time I’ve ever felt this way. Usually I can’t wait to get away from my classmates, but not this time.
Now, comes the new semester.
Math 3 - AKA the math from hell. Basically a sum up of every piece of math under calculus. We have half a year to learn it all, then a regents. Joy!
ACE English - A college level English course. Need I say more?
P.I.G. and Econ - The class in itself is relatively simple and I have Mrs. Brice-Hyde again, which I am very happy about. She was my first teacher in high school and will be my second to last. She is eccentric and full of life. In short, she is the only person I know who could make Greek economy interesting…
British Literature - Aside from the teacher being a semi-distant relative, I don’t know really what to expect. I’m going to assume theres going to be a lot of British stuff, Shakespeare, Rowling, etc.
Leaving school today, it was bittersweet. I guess I’m not really a fan of change, but I have no choice. I’ll just have to suck it up ’til summer.

Happy holidays everyone! And thus ends my longest EVER post!
